Abstract
|
|
|
We have experienced a case of primary intracranial malignant melanoma.
A 15-year-old female was admitted to our hospital with chief complaints of headache, vomiting, and left ophthalmoplegia.
Darkly brown colored, fragile tumor was found on the medial third of left sphenoid ridge.
The tumor enclosed left supraclinoid portion of the internal carotid artery, optic chiasm, and eroded left anterior and posterior clinoid processes.
Nearly total removal of the tumor mass was done and pathological diagnosis was malignant melanoma.
